After complaints on EU level

Last summer, European consumer protection authorities and the EU Commission exhorted Airbnb to change its terms & conditions in order to comply with EU law (read more). During talks in September, the company agreed to make the respective amendments.

The platform has to be more transparent regarding their prices. Furthermore, consumers should know what their options are if they face problems with Airbnb or the landlord.

The deadline for changes is set for the end of 2018.
