Survey on online holiday booking - CLOSED

Share your experience with price increases!

Update: This survey is closed. ECC Austria wants to thank every consumer who took the time to participate.

Dear consumer,

the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) is currently working on a project regarding the topic "Online holiday booking: Is the indicated price the final price?". In 2015 the ECC-Net received many complaints by consumers who booked a flight, a hotel room or a rental car online. In the end they had to pay more than the price indicated at the beginning of the booking process.

Did you experience the same? Your opinion is important to us!

We would be very grateful if you spare one minute and complete our questionnaire. With your participation in the survey you help us improving the situation of consumers.

Click here for the questionnaire. Taking part in the survey is possible until 25.03.2016.

Hardly any money back on flight bookings

Hardly any money back on flight bookings

Refunds through booking platforms are particularly difficult. Those who have booked flights with intermediaries such as Opodo, Expedia & Co that were cancelled due to the pandemic are having a hard time getting their money back. Enquiries are piling up at arbitration offices and consumer protection agencies.
